So, myspace keeps giving me this code that clearly does nothing. I kinda like it in a way, but also pissed that it happens. My life is completely reliant on technology at the moment. I find my life slightly frustrating right now. THIS CODE IS MY LIFE. I'm going to put on a play with Eli Matthewson about this kind of thing. I hope it turns out ok. It would be nice if I start with something decent rather than embarrassing and juvenile. It will be performed at the fringe festivals at Wellington and Auckland. We will look at doing it in Chch.

Is my life this code? Or will one day I will make it into a youtube clip.

Getting pretty deep n shit about a youtube code. Hope to make something soon. Must be just after midnight.

No-one wants to hear it

This is Seamass, too underground to ever be listened to:

http://www.last.fm/music/Seamass/Robotic+Organic

According to last.fm they are similar to With Moths who is underground but should be listened to:

http://www.myspace.com/withmoths

Who are in turn similar to Mount Pleasant, who you may of heard of already:

If I was you I would stick to With Moths and Mount Pleasant. Who knew CheeChee had bands?

The internet is a big place

Two of my films can be found on this website:

http://www.theodeon.co.nz/

Look at 'short films' and you will find "Creation (Morning Star)" and "Hutton Was A Butterfly"

You can find these on my Vimeo site as well. Hutton you can play on its IMDB page too.

Here is what The Odeon said about my two most experimental pieces anyhow, pretty much rave reviews:

Hutton Was A Butterfly:
WARNING: R13 A kiwi arthouse production. The sound's a bit jarring (intentionally so) but aside from the fact I got a bit lost around the plot I found some of the imagery really disturbing, almost reminiscent of a full-colour eraserhead, but less linear. Dramatic sky shots are particularly ominous.

Creation (Morning Star):
WARNING: R13 I'm at a bit of a loss as to what to say about this one. Part one of a series by Hamish Parkinson, in an art-house styled retelling of Genesis. Now, I found the first couple of parts hard going, but as you get further even without quite following I started to find it really compelling.

Since two of most strangest (and in terms of Creation most hated/liked pieces (I've had some extremes in conversation at parties about that one)) are on the internet I am inspired to hunt out my older films to show you my 'range'. I'll let you know how it goes.

Love
Hamish
